Take the USSF entry course

Register through the South Carolina Referee Committee. The Grassroots course is part online, part in person, and gets you certified to work real matches.

The Charleston Area Soccer Referee Association is the local home for officials — meetings, training sessions, and the people you'll be working next to every weekend.
